The opportunity

 

Our ACR tax service line operates as a team of highly experienced tax professionals who focus on delivering efficient and effective resources to companies in the region. Our goal is to improve quality, manage risk, create efficiency and drive value. Our market leading approach combines standard and efficient processes, highly effective tools and an extensive network of local tax and accounting professionals.

 

You will have the opportunity to provide clients an integrated, consistent, quality service that unlocks the potential of the compliance function, with tax compliance, statutory accounts preparation and tax accounting calculation support.

 

Your key responsibilities  

 

Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support business planning and decision-making processes.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial control procedures and policies.
Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and implementation of best practices.
Provide guidance to the accounting team and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and address any audit findings or recommendations.
Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required by the finance leadership team.

 

Skills and attributes for success 

 

If you are an excellent communicator and detail oriented professional with a strong track record of management experience who is comfortable working across borders with a wide network of people and with large amount of data, you will be perfect for the role.  

 

To qualify for the role you must have

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business studies, accounting or finance.  
Preferably an MBA, Masters or another related advanced degree and/or professional qualifications e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification. 
Proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), ensuring accurate preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with global accounting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within a large professional services company or a Big 4 firm

 

Ideally, you also have 

 

Experience of dealing with multinational clients and ability to work in multi-cultural environment. 

Demonstrated good understanding and capability of implementing accounting concepts. 
Participate in and lead proposal development and submission and other business development initiatives.
Excellent analytical, management and leadership skills. 
Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines. 
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 
Arabic Language skills preferable.
GCC experience preferable.
