AtkinsRealis are currently looking for experienced Quantity Surveyor – Procurement to join our team to work on newly awarded projects across varying sectors and various locations within UAE. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team on high profile projects within in UAE.

 

Pre Contract:

  • Develop and follow procurement strategies.
  • Feasibility, concept, schematic and detailed design cost planning and estimating
  • Bills of Quantities preparation and Pre-Tender Estimates
  • Value Engineering
  • Monthly Cost Reports
  • Tender services including preparation of Instruction to Tenders, Appendix to Tenders, Particular Conditions, tender analysis, and contract negotiations
  • Preparation of award recommendations
  • Contract document preparation
  • Attendance and participation at design and commercial meetings

 

 Post Contract:

  • Commercial Contract Administration including re-measurement, interim and final account payment application assessments
  • Monthly Cost Reports, and management of variations, contractors claims
  • Provisional Sums and Prime Costs managament
  • Insurances and bonds management
  • Attendance o and participation at design and commercial meetings

 

Experiences and Qualifications

  • Previous experience of FIDIC Contracts preferred
  • Good understanding and work experience on procurement
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying from recognised university
  • Min 5 years post-degree relevant experience in contracts and commercial management
  • Experience in one of the following key sectors: hospitality, residential, buildings, infrastructure etc.
  • Must have consultant and/or client background for minimum of 4 years
  • Knowledge in the use of QS software Cost X or similar is required
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills
