Job Overview

Purpose

 

The Manager IFE content and Publications works closely with the Manager IFE department to manage the daily operation of IFE content including Atlas magazine across the EY network.  The role will assist with content and magazine development, production, and distribution, to ensure high standards of quality and consistency. The role will also support the Manager IFE operations, contributing to the day to day running of onboard content and delivery.

Accountabilities

 

IFE Content and publications
•    Work closely with the Manager IFE Content and Head of IFEC & Aircraft Interiors to oversee the development, production and distribution of the airline magazine, Atlas and onboard content for IFE including E-BOX.
•    Assist with design and implementation of the content promotional strategy for onboard magazine.
•    Manage Atlas advertising inventory, to ensure annual revenue budget target.
•    Refine and implement the operational, content, and editorial vision and strategy for IFE and publications and Atlas magazine, to meet tight programme turnarounds, and ensure the IFE and Atlas offering showcases the Etihad brand.
•    Support with management of IFE and Atlas magazine vendors. This includes collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to gather content, ensure accuracy and relevant materials to create engaging, informative content, suitable for EY Guests in all cabins.  
•    Conduct thorough proofreading of materials, editing and providing feedback and solutions to ensure high standards of quality and consistency that enhance the EY brand. 
•    Provide benchmarking, data analysis and insights on IFE topics.

 

IFE Operations 
•    Assist with IFE related operations to ensure services are delivered in accordance to agreed service level agreements, taking remedial action for issues or areas of underperformance.
•    Operational and logistical support, including headset supply, refurbishment, repairs, content updates and loading of IFE guides.
•    Assist with Technical Maintenance and Training departments, to ensure optimal IFE performance.
•    Support the Manager IFE Operations to draft training documentation in coordination with EY Training, to ensure effective training of crew on the various IFEC platforms, products, and services. 

  Education & Experience

•    Educated to university degree or equivalent.
•    At least 3 years’ experience in In-flight Entertainment field (either with an airline or with an IFE supplier/vendor) with at least 2 years’ management experience.
•    Experience working in cross-cultural environments and TV/audio broadcast programming experience (advantage).
•    Budget management, negotiation and influencing skills (advantage).
•    Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, in both Arabic and English (mandatory)
