Job Title: HR Operations – Senior Manager
Location: Dubai, UAE
Role Summary:
We’re currently working with a well-established & growing company with operations across the Middle East, Asia & US to hire an HR Operations Manager for their UAE HQ. As an experienced HR Operations Manager, you will be required to oversee and streamline the companies HR functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HR processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and enhancing the overall employee experience. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic HR Operations Leader to not just manage but enhance the companies HR functions across multiple business units, overseeing a team of Functional Heads and will be responsible for end-to-end HR implementation, employee experience improvement initiatives, and the establishment of best practice HR processes.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management:

    • Lead a team of approximately six direct reports, including heads of Payroll, Induction Onboarding, HRMS Management.
    • Foster a collaborative and engaging team environment across the group.

  • HR Operations Management:

    • Oversee the day-to-day HR operations, including payroll processing, employee records management, and benefits administration.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to improve efficiency and consistency.
    • Manage HR operations working with government agencies to ensure speedy & efficient processing of Employee Health Checks, and Visa Processing.
    • Oversee and improve backend HR operations and corporate functions teams based in India, ensuring efficient remote management.
    • Implement full HR life-cycle project management, from onboarding to exit.

  • Process Improvement and Digitalization:

    • Design, set up, and track HR processes, ensuring they align with best practices.
    • Drive the digital transformation and rollout of automated payroll systems across the business.
    • Utilize their existing HR system software packages to automate and streamline HR processes, including employee queries / grievances through ticketing systems.

  • Strategic Initiatives:

    • Lead special HR projects and initiatives to enhance Employee Experience and Engagement.
    • Identify functions suitable for outsourcing, set-up & manage remote teams, and ensure seamless integration and performance of these teams.
    • Establish and maintain dashboards for HR functions such as Payroll Processing, Visa Management, And Onboarding Processes.
    • Set up systems to generate and analyze data to inform and improve HR processes and practices.
    • Investigate HR software to help automate HR / Call Centre processes setting up ticketing systems for Employee queries, grievances, etc.

  • HR Systems and Reporting:

    • Manage HR systems and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
    • Generate and analyze HR reports to inform decision-making and track key metrics.
    • Implement improvements to HR systems and processes to enhance functionality and user experience.
    • Manage relationships with multiple vendors across various countries, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

 

Background and Experience:

  • Experience:

    • 12 to 15 years of hands-on HR operations experience, having grown into a senior role.
    • Proven track record in end-to-end HR implementation and process improvement.
    • Experience working in large businesses with multiple Business Units or Group Holding companies.
    • Strategic consulting experience and exposure to digitalization in HR processes.

  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong influencing and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
    • Proficient in establishing and managing HR dashboards and utilizing data for decision-making.
    • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Education and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Professional HR certification is a plus.
