Role: BIM Structural Engineer:

We are currently looking for a number of BIM Structural Engineer with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.


A BIM (Building Information Modeling) Structural Engineer plays a crucial role in the construction industry, leveraging advanced technology to design and manage structural aspects of buildings and infrastructure projects. Here’s a detailed job description for such a role:

Position Title: BIM Structural Engineer

Overview: A BIM Structural Engineer is responsible for utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and methodologies to develop and coordinate structural designs and documentation throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. They collaborate closely with architects, other engineers, and construction teams to ensure the structural integrity, efficiency, and safety of buildings and infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

BIM Modeling: Develop detailed 3D structural models using BIM software (such as Revit, Tekla Structures, or similar tools) based on architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.

Structural Analysis: Conduct structural analysis and simulations to ensure designs meet building codes, standards, and safety requirements. This may involve assessing loads, stresses, and deflections under various conditions.

Coordination: Collaborate with architects, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural designs seamlessly within the overall building design, ensuring clash-free coordination.

Documentation: Prepare detailed construction drawings, plans, and specifications derived from BIM models for use by construction teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on BIM models and documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Construction Support: Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing queries, resolving design conflicts, and assisting with the interpretation of structural drawings and specifications.

Innovation and Optimization: Explore innovative approaches and technologies to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness of structural designs and construction processes.

Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to facilitate the successful delivery of projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Tekla Structures, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary coordination and construction processes.
  • Relevant professional certifications or licenses may be advantageous (e.g., PE license, Autodesk Certified Professional).


  • Typically requires 8-12 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on BIM and construction projects.
  • Experience working on diverse projects across various sectors (e.g., commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure) is desirable.
